Snow Baby

I couldn't resist...

7 Months & Winter Wonderland

For 6 months I was waiting for Ollie to turn 6 months old. Now he is 7 months old and I can't figure out what I am waiting for now. Crawling, maybe?
Here is my little 7 month old, in all his glory!

He is a happy little guy. I love how he guides me through this parenthood thing. When it is time for change, he gives signs {sometimes not very subtle signs} that he is ready for a change. Lately, he wasn't eating his bottles first thing in the morning or right before bed. Then I read that a 7 month old only needs bottles with his breakfast, lunch, & dinner. We have made the switch & he is just fine & dandy. Go figure. Thanks for holding my hand bud. The other day I had the hair brained idea to start making his own baby food. {Upon realizing we would be spending $150 alone in baby food. Boo!} So we bought a baby bullet
& I have been making pureed goodies since. Unfortunately, Ollie hasn't quite gotten used to his new fresh food. I think it sometimes has more of a tang or is even more sweet than the Gerber stuff. We'll figure it out bud.
The other day I walked into his room & all I saw was this cute little face popped up looking at me.
His happiest time of day is the evening {go figure, it used to be his worst time of day}.
In other news, I woke up this morning & was surprised by seeing flurries in the backyard.  It has been Snowing for several hours now.

I let Cadbury out thinking he wouldn't like the snow & would do his business & quickly return indoors.  Wrong!

The family of bunnies that lives under our deck must have taken refuge from the storm because Cadbury was oober enthusiastic about sniffing around the deck for an hour & a half in the snow. {He usually sniffs around it all day every day, but not with half as much interest. I think the bunnies are usually scattered about during the daylight hours.} I made a mental note to be sure & catch Cadbury when he came back

inside so I could bathe the Muddy Mutt
 when he came back inside. Well, he snuck past me & of course, I found him on our bed on my blanket {his favorite spot}.
It's all good, it only added a little bit of laundry to my 'To Do' list today. I won't be going anywhere anytime soon anyway. This Arizona girl will not be driving in the snow.

Happy Valentine's Day

Last night, I got a text from my awesome neighbor that Rio
{Rio with her Dad Brent}
left a little something for Oliver in our mailbox.
We found this...
along with THIS!!!
{The Bow Tie}

Seriously!!! The cutest thing ever!

Our neighbor is super duper talented {as you can see} and makes more than just bow ties  You can see her awesome stuff here. {I love the pillows she designs.}
My little Valentine just got even more squeezable, kissable, lovable, etc. etc.
This is one cute happy dude!
Thanks Rio! {ahem, Briana!}
Hope you all have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Messy

I love it when it starts to rain & instead of heading inside Cadbury turns into a wet muddy statue that doesn't know what to do but stand where he is at.  This is what happened the other day. So I asked Jordan if he wanted to bathe the dog or feed the baby. I knew what he would pick, but this was my way of not having to bathe the dog AND feed the baby. ;)
So while I bathed Cadbury,
{finished product wanting to go back outside}
Oliver ate his dinner. When I finished, I came to check on things & this is the face I saw...
Whatever gets the job done, right?

Beef Stroganoff

I think I have a new favorite recipe. Last night, I made Homemade Beef Stroganoff. I found the recipe in a book my mom gave me for my birthday: Favorite Family Recipes.
It has some amazing recipes in it. Everything I have tried so far has been delish & there are so many more recipes I am dying to try.
Okay, so here is the Beef Stroganoff recipe:
1.5 lb beef stew meat, cubed
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
1/2 small onion, chopped
8 fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 env. onion soup mix
2 cups sour cream
1 pkg. wide egg noodles, cooked
In slow cooker, combine meat, soups, onion, mushrooms, and onion soup mix. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beef is tender. Just before serving, stir in sour cream. Serve over hot cooked egg noodles.
Mmm, I can't wait to eat up all the leftovers.
In Oliver news,
he is rolling over...constantly. When he began rolling over a week or so ago, it caused him to sleep horribly. He would wake up crying & we would find him rolled over. He did this all night long for a good week. I think we have all the bugs worked out though and the little man is sleeping better {so are we!}.
I took these upcoming photos of Ollie to lure our friends from Dallas
 to come and visit us.
{They have a little girl who was born right before Ollie, so I was using the ♥ ♥ 'Be My Valentine' ♥ ♥ angle.}

{He was kind of a crank, so this is the best I got.}
Fortunately, they worked and we are so excited they are coming next weekend! Yay!
And here we have Crazy Baby...
He liked to put this teething ring on his face & then stick his tongue out and try to lick it. Weirdo.
