Breckenridge

My generous sister gifted us with a week in the rockies at her timeshare in Breckenridge the first week of summer.
We made the long drive and spent the night with Lindsay's family in Canon City before heading for the mountains. This is a 'secret' room in Eliza's closet - complete with turf for imagination and fun times for the kids. Edison found it and liked the cave where mom couldn't reach him.

It was a 2 hour drive from Canon City to Breckenridge & it was a pretty one!
Up into the mountains we climbed and it got so stinking beautiful it's not even fair! That's snow...in June!
The timeshare was amazing! Seriously, so fancy and nice and even Edison had his own room/half bathroom turned babies room because the pack 'n play fit perfectly and it got dark and quiet. He loved this giant bathtub he could slip 'n slide in to his hearts content.
And Oliver loved the heated pools complete with waterfalls, hot tubs, body slide, & beautiful views!

We went to Eric's for pizza - it's tradition & I crave that yummy pizza with honey poured on the crust. Edison looked very grown-up while deciding what he would eat for lunch. Ha!

Aunt Wheece joined us for our first day there & spoiled us & loved on us & visited us & woke us up cause we slept in. Sorry sister!

That baby!
We rented one of the movie rooms and watched Brave together while eating popcorn and milkduds and other various movie snacks. The movie rooms were amazing & so fun to be in.

Even beanbag chairs to enhance the movie watching experience.
Edison loved the heated pools as well. He didn't like swimming until he tried one that didn't have cold water and now he is a fan.

Elyce brought us some t-bones to grill for dinner and they turned out so tasty!

Another movie day!

We hit up downtown Breck another day and through rocks in the river and took in nature!

In the early afternoons it sprinkled every day & that is my very favorite part of Breckenridge.

There was a family fun center with arcade games, this slide, and other fun things to do.

A second helping of Eric's please!!! It was all so yummy!
They had these musical teeter-totters in the middle of town that entertained us.

Ollie dipped his foot in (semi-on-purpose) the cold river water and LOVED throwing rocks and sticks in the rivers flow.

This handsome/fun boy is the best!

It was the most refreshing/relaxing/perfect week! We were so, so sad to have to leave. We tried to concoct ideas on how we could stay forever, but ALAS.

We drove to Aurora to spend the night with Elyce & Anita and the morning we left they snapped some pics of us.
Oh, and some funny out of order pics of Edison longing to be released to the porch...

"Please, let me in!"

My only complaint of the trip was we didn't have enough time in Aurora. I could have easily spent several more days piecing together puzzles and eating Pinkberry and Jet's.

And Wahoo's was our parting meal.
This little 11 month old did great & so did the almost 6 year old. I wish the drive wasn't as long because staying the night in Albuquerque is crappy, but it was well worth it!

Thank you so much for the great memories & the recharge!
